This World Music and Umass Ahmest present a 3-week cultural immersion course in the coastal village of Kopeyia, Ghana, offering 135 pdp points. Students will be introduced to a wide range of topics related to African culture, philosophy, and daily life. Led by UMass adjunct faculty member and ThisWorldMusic Founder Jeremy Cohen, the group will live for 2 weeks in the Dagbe Center's clean, comfortable, dormitory-style accommodations, receiving hands-on training from indigenous artists in drumming, dancing, singing and visual arts.
