Closing Reception for Kindred by Ekua Holmes

If you haven't had the opportunity to experience Kindred by Ekua Holmes, please join us tomorrow at Boston Arts Academy in the Sandra and Philip Gordon Gallery. The Closing Reception will be an interactive performance and exhibition, including words from the artist, spoken word poetry, music performance and some special guests!

Through this program, outstanding arts educators explore their individual artistic goals and dreams, while connecting with new practices and resources in their disciplines; in an effort to enhance the arts in the Boston Public Schools.

To study hand-building techniques in the Pueblo pottery tradition in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.

William McKinley Middle School, Boston
To attend the Amala Music School in Valjevo, Serbia and study Balkan folk music.

Lynn Rosario
Lilla G. Frederick Pilot Middle School, Dorchester
To participate in two visual arts and wellness workshops in California and Washington State.

Rafael Hernández K-8 School, Roxbury
To study the culture and performing arts of Hawaii at the University of Hawaii.
